How it compares
Every team has a routine that eats an afternoon: something arrives, someone reads it, decides, does three things and writes it down. pokrok is one place where that routine runs by itself, on a schedule or the moment an email, a message or a file turns up, with an agent making the decisions in the middle. The chat, the schedule, the trigger, the code it runs and what it remembers are one system here, so the joins between them are not yours to maintain. Each of the tools below does one leg of that, and does it well. This page says which leg, and when that is enough on its own.
What this looks like on a Thursday
Supplier invoices land in the shared inbox all week, and somebody opens each one, retypes six fields into the sheet and chases the ones that do not add up. You describe that routine once, in a sentence. From then on it happens as the mail arrives: the PDF is read, the supplier, invoice number, date, net, VAT and total come out of it, a row appears in the sheet, and anything it could not read is marked in the row rather than guessed at. The agent is the part in the middle that decides. You set it up once and it does the job without you watching.
The same shape covers the Monday report that writes itself, the pull request reviewed before anyone opens it, and the overdue invoices chased on the first of the month. More of them in the cookbook.

|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT, Claude, GeminiA conversation with a very capable model, and the files you attach to it. | You want the best answer to a question you are asking yourself, right now, and you are happy to be the one asking. | The same conversation, and then everything that has to carry on when nobody is typing: workflows that run on a schedule, or the moment an email, a Slack or Telegram message, a Git push or a file in a watched folder arrives. Memory that learns how you work, so over months it knows your clients, your formats and what you decided last quarter without being told again. And somewhere the agent can actually do the work rather than describe it: open the file, run the numbers, hand back the finished thing, on our machines or on one of your own that you connect as an environment. |
| Zapier, MakePassing information between the apps you already use, along fixed steps. | The job is moving records between services they already support, and nothing in between needs anybody's judgement. | Judgement between the steps. A supplier invoice arrives: the workflow reads the PDF, decides what is in it, puts the figures in the right columns and marks anything it could not read rather than guessing. Moving the file is what a connector does. Deciding what is in it is the part that lands back on your team. |
| n8nA build-it-yourself automation tool with a big catalogue of steps, installed and maintained on servers you look after. | You want to wire every step yourself, and you have someone in-house whose job is keeping it patched and running. | The same workflows with agents and memory around them, and nobody on your team patching, restoring or being on call for any of it. If a policy or a jurisdiction says it has to sit on your own infrastructure, we deploy it there for enterprise customers, and we keep it running either way. |
| LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndexLibraries for building agent software. They are the parts rather than the product. | You are building something of your own and want to decide how every piece behaves. | The finished thing those parts get assembled into, already running and already somebody else's job to keep up. Agents that can only touch what you granted them. Containers that are there the moment a step needs to run code. Memory that survives between runs instead of starting empty every time. Schedules and triggers that fire without you owning a scheduler. Nobody on your team is building and maintaining that first. |
| Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini for Workspace, Notion AIAn assistant inside a suite you already pay for, beside the documents already in it. | Your work lives in that suite and you want help exactly where it is. | Reach across everything else as well: your own machines, your repositories, your inboxes and the services you run yourself, instead of only the files and mail that already live in that one suite. |
Where it runs
We run it. Nothing to install, nothing to keep patched, and a workspace of your own ready in minutes. If a policy or a jurisdiction means it has to sit on your own infrastructure instead, we deploy it there for enterprise customers. Write to us before you sign up and we will scope it with you: what has to stay inside your network, where it runs, and who keeps it running.
Where something else is the better answer
Written down because you would find out anyway, and finding out after paying is worse for both of us.
- We take work from email, Slack, Telegram, Discord, Git, RSS, a watched folder or a web request. If your job is moving records between a longer list of apps than that, and nothing in between needs a decision, a tool built around ready-made connectors already has the connector and will finish sooner.
- You want a better chat window and nothing more: nothing on a schedule, nothing running while you sleep. Several good ones are free.
- You are building a product of your own on top of the parts. Use the libraries, because you will want that much control.
If none of those three is you
The fastest way to find out is to hand over one job: the one your team does every Monday. Describe it in a sentence, watch it run once, and keep it if it works. Your own workspace, ready in minutes.
About this page
Checked in September 2026. Everything above describes what each product is built around rather than what it costs or how many things it connects to, because those change and a stale number is just a wrong one. Check anything that matters to your decision against the vendor yourself. Every product named here belongs to its owner, is their trade mark, and none of them is affiliated with pokrok or endorses it.
